Chapter 16: The Job Offer

Chapter 16: The Job Offer

“Stay committed to your decisions, but stay flexible in your approach.” – Tom Robbins

Once you receive the offer letter there is one important thing to do no matter how good (or bad) it is. “THINK ABOUT IT!”

Thank the person giving you the offer and let them know you are excited to have been chosen.

Ask them if they will allow you a day to think about it and promise (and do) call them back the following day.

Don’t worry they won’t give the job away. This will show them you a re a professional and it will allow you to really decide if it is an offer you are willing to commit to.

Here’s A Quote:

You might want to read it twice. Here it is:

“I bargained with Life for a penny

And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store;
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have gladly paid”

-Jessie Belle Rittenhouse (1869–1948)
